NDS Service Interruption Scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2013

Please be advised that the power is being shut off to the entire building where Child Care Aware of America's office is located for electrical maintenance. This maintenance is scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2013 at 10 pm Eastern Time and will continue until 7 am on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

An Electrical Tighten Down is an industry-wide test that is performed roughly every three years. The purpose of the Tighten Down is to make sure that all the electrical components in the building are operating properly. The shut-down is estimated to take eight hours, in which there will be no power to the building.

We will provide any updates to this work as they are made available.

Updated time: In order to insure proper shutdown of all servers we need to begin stopping services at 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Friday. We will update this thread when services are restored on Saturday.

Dear NDS Users, Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we successfully complied and collaborated with our building management to complete an extensive electrical shutdown that affected all services and businesses in our building. The Technology Department and particularly, your NDS Team is working diligently to re-establish all NDS applications and accompanying services. Feel free to support us in confirming that our services are in good shape by visiting your favorite applications. If you were to experience any issues aside from a certain level of expected slowness due to "Cache" building, please contact our Help Desk at ndshelpdesk@usa.childcareaware.org

We update this page with new information as it develops. We hope to post a FINAL NOTE to say 'WE ARE DONE" by the end of the day today.
