How does the Group feature work?


A new data entry group function was added in NW Version 4.9. Groups can be created to which individual provider and/or community records can be linked. Linking records allows an agency to show a relationship between one or more records. For example, a child care center chain with multiple locations can be grouped. Group can also contain a mix of provider and community records. For example, a Head Start grantee which may be in the community database can be linked to the Head Start centers in the provider database. By grouping the records, communication and updates are made easier since the agency can see there are multiple records tied together.

New documentation on using the new group feature is now available. We hope to add it to the Help system in NACCRRAware soon but in the meantime, contact the NDS Help Desk for a copy if needed.
