TTAM Training Reports

reporting
Training-Tracking

I'm trying to get a list of all the training sessions during a certain time period, and I get really different results depending on which report I pull.

I've tried:

  • Reports>Training Reports>Training Session Participant Summary Report (results: 6 different trainings with a total of 10 sessions and 75 students)
  • Reports>Training Reports>Training Participant Report (results same as above: 6 different trainings with a total of 10 sessions and 75 students)
  • Custom Search>Training Sessions>Training Sessions Query with Date Range (results: 47 different trainings with a total of 78 sessions, no student count)
  • Custom Search>Registrations>Training Registrations Query with Date Range (results: 6 different trainings in 10 sessions with 76 students)

I can't figure out why there are so many more training sessions showing up in the Training Sessions custom report than in the others. What are the differences between these queries?

ANSWER

Here is how each report works. The difference is when a session is a multi-date session as opposed to a single date session.

Reports>Training Reports>Training Session Participant Summary Report
This report shows all trainings for which there was at least one registration in an active session scheduled during the specified time period. The session date reflects the date of the session in the case of a single date session, and the first session date in the case of multi-date sessions. The number of registrants is reported for each session and a registration is counted one time for multi-date sessions.

Reports>Training Reports>Training Participant Report
This report shows all trainings for which there was at least one registration in an active session scheduled during the specified time period. The session date reflects the date of the session in the case of a single date session, and the first and last session dates in the case of multi-date sessions. The list of registrants is reported for each session, and again a registration is counted one time for multi-date sessions

Custom Search>Training Sessions>Training Sessions Query with Date Range
This custom report shows each training session scheduled during the specified time period regardless of the session’s status and whether anyone was registered. Also included in this report are sessions that were cancelled (shown in the Training Session Status column). Multi-date sessions are listed separately, one row per meeting date.

Custom Search>Registrations>Training Registrations Query with Date Range
This custom report shows registrations for training sessions scheduled during the specified time period. Registrations for multi-date sessions will be reported individually, once for each meeting time.
